Killer Pecan® Pie


For the Pie Crust

  • 1 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Kosher Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cold Butter
  • 1/4 cup Ice Water



  1. Combine the flour and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer with the paddle attachment.
  2. Dice the butter into 1/2" cubes. Add to the flour and mix until the butter is broken down into small pieces about the size of peas.
  3. Add cold water and mix just until combined. Do not over mix or your pie dough will be tough!
  4. Refrigerate for 1 hour, then roll the dough to fit a 9" pie pan. Flute the edges then put the crust in the freezer while you make the filling.


For the Pie Filling

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 1 tsp.  Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Lemon, zested
  • 2 1/2 cups (10 oz) Killer Pecans



  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together with a whip until everything is incorporated.  
  2. Place the pecans in the prepared pie crust.  Reserve 1 cup to decorate the top.
  3. Pour the filling over the pecans, then arrange the remaining cup in a pattern on top.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees until pie is done, about 40 minutes.  If the pecans on top begin to get to dark cover with foil.
  5. Cool and enjoy!
